Dr. Yan Lou was a visiting scholar with the Center for Information and Communications Technology Research (CICTR) in the Institute of Electrical and Computer Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University.

She is an Assistant Research Fellow in Changchun University of Science and Technology, and her research interest includes: Free-space optical (FSO) communication, Beam propagation in atmosphere, Modeling and simulation of Satellite to ground communication in complex environment, Signal Recognition Technology. Her visit was financed by a Scholarship under the State Scholarship Fund Council of China.
